5 Reasons For Showing God Gratitude

Sometimes we find ourselves complaining about a situation that cannot be changed so we become discontent or upset because life isn’t as we expected it to be. I invite you to remember to be grateful and thankful at all times. Below are 5 reasons to be thankful

 1.       Gratitude glorifies God

If we love God as we say we do, this alone should ignite a burning desire in us to always be thankful. A grateful heart glorifies God, as it exalts him just for who he is and not for the blessing he bestows upon us. Gratitude helps us realize all we have comes from God alone.
2.
Gratitude helps us see God

Our spiritual eyes are opened when we have a grateful heart. Giving God thanks has a lovely cycle: the more we thank Him, the more we desire to spend time with Him, and the more we see Him at work in and around us. Gratitude helps us sense God’s presence, his personal care and His perfect timing.
3.
Gratitude helps in seeing God's will clearly

When it comes to God's will, we frequently make it out to be this vast, mysterious design when it's really just a matter of reading and obeying. Having a grateful heart towards God drawers us nearer to him. The more we read and obey the more he reveals his perfect will for us.

  4.        Gratitude brings contentment

When we trust in God’s faithfulness we can guarantee we won’t lack. God promised to always provide for us even in the darkest time in our lives he will provide. Knowing this brings such a comfort and peace. If we aren’t grateful for what God has given us knowing this, how can we ever be satisfied with more. Being thankful is the key to contentment.

 5.       Gratitude strengthens our faith

Gratitude looks back on the many things God has done in your life and bring to remembrance how good and kind He has been to you, even in the midst of hardships, problems, and disappointments. Through remembering, you gain a grateful heart. And then gratitude goes to work informing your faith, reminding you that you have every reason to trust God for the future. Gratitude looks back on the past to thank God, and then strengthens your faith to face the coming days with confidence.
