    N o one wants to be plagued by failures and or disappointments in life, so we all strive to avoid making mistakes. However, as humans it’s impossible to never make mistakes. Even the most intelligent people on earth have their shares of mistakes and failures. But as d evoted Christians this brings us closer to God as a result of those failures. We sincerely pray and ask God for wisdom in our circumstances, to make right choses in accordance with His will. What About When God Doesn’t Speak? While it may be true some believers blame God for their circumstances, is it not true that God cares for his children? We can tend to blame God for wrong decisions or bad circumstance but the question is do we stop to ask God for wisdom in our decision making and trust him in every area of our lives? One of the reasons why we Christians make mistakes is we fail to listen when God speaks. We can get bombarded by problems in our daily life that we cannot hear his still voice.   In 1 John 5 it states we are overcomers in Christ Jesus. Anyone who has received Christ as their Lord and Savior are overcomers. Why in 1 John 5 it says we have overcome and then the same author in Revelations says to him who overcomes? Revelations 2:7 - He who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes…. Also, Revelations 2:17, 26. 3:5, 12 In one hand we have overcome and the other hand we need to overcome. How do we put this together? What does it mean? John was writing to the 7 churches and congregation in Revelations. He is saying to the church and congregation that they are overcomers, while individually, they must overcome. So, this means it is possible to be in the church and in the congregation and not be an overcomer. Everyone who has come to Christ is an overcomer, but not every believer in Christ has overcome. God is the only absolute source you can give as an absolute standard about all subjects, therefore, the starting place to know truth is what God has revealed. It is the revelation of God. We all know what it is to abandon truth, believe a lie and paid the consequences. In this day and age, we are watching a world do that right before our very eyes. So many people including believers are abandoning the truth. Hear their own desires. Turning aside and believing familiar good sounding myths. One of the reasons is because the word of God is not clearly proclaimed. The bible say they want to hear the word that makes their ears tickle, they don’t want the truth, they want the word that makes things convenient for them, things that would make them feel good rather than the true word of God. If  we want to understand who God is in his entirety, we need to understand all the aspects of God. Understanding the distinctions between Jesus as God the son and God as the Father is one thing, but what is truly understood about God the holy Spirit. There are many misconceptions about the identity of the Holy Spirit. Some view the Holy Spirit as a mystical force. Others see the Holy Spirit as an impersonal power that God makes available to followers of Christ. What does the Bible say about the identity of the Holy Spirit? Simply put, the Bible declares that the  Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also tells us that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, a being with a mind, emotions, and a will. When we speak of the triune God, we are referring to GOD as God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. Everyone who surrenders their life to Christ must understand the Holy Spirit's identity, his position within the Holy Trinity, and the function in the believer’s life.

"T hough the LORD be lofty, yet hath he reverences unto the lowly: but the haughty he knows from afar," the Bible states (Psalms. 138:6). Someone who is exalted, arrogant, high, haughty, or lofty is described as proud. Whatever others may think, God clearly recognizes when we are proud, and there are numerous negative consequences of pride according to Scripture. We must remember what God thinks of pride in our hearts and His response to it, regardless of who openly exalts themselves or quietly becomes great in their own eyes. It is a SIN that leads to shame, conflict, ruin, and more if it is not repented of and reversed. None of this assists us in fulfilling our purpose or pleasing God. The purpose is to elevate, magnify, and lift up GOD, not ourselves. Here are some ways to help If you identify any pride in your heart and find yourself making it more about self and less about God.                                  I s God a true priority in our life, or do we use the excuse that our busy schedules prevent us from doing so? Many of us, I believe, struggle in our relationship with God because we are sometimes fatigued by our real obligations or too preoccupied with what we believe is more essential to us. God is well aware of the BUSY activities that might consume our time. Work, relationships, studies, caring for our children, and so on, but we must spend time in his presence in order to carry out his plan for our lives. He is our source of power and the only one who can genuinely assist us in completing the tasks required to function in this world? Recognizing God as our Creator and accepting His Lordship over our lives is the first step in making time for Him.   A fter almost two full years of pandemics, shutdowns, and bad news from so many directions, it’s time for us to GET OUR STUFF BACK! The devil has robbed you and God’s people long enough.  Isaiah 42:22 says: these people are robbed continually, and no one says: RESTORE! But Jesus is the Lord of restoration!  No matter what the enemy has stolen from you, God has promised He will restore it all! Remember, the Bible says in Acts 10:38 that God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power in His earthly ministry. He went about doing good and healing everyone oppressed by the devil. But Hebrews 13:8 also says,  “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”   He is doing good and healing everyone oppressed by the devil today, just like He has always done! To be oppressed means that somebody or something else is in control of your life, future, and destiny.
