  SHOULD WE PRAY TO THE HOLY SPIRIT? Should believers to pray directly to the Holy Spirit without mentioning God the Father or Jesus Christ? The answer is no. Believers are not to speak directly, or pray, to the Holy Spirit and I will show you why. The Holy Spirit Does Not Speak of Himself For one thing, it is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to speak of Jesus Christ. He does not speak of Himself. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit was given to remind His disciples of the things which He said . But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you John 14:26  The Holy Spirit which was sent by the authority of God the Father was given to testify to Jesus Christ, not Himself In addition, we are told that He will not speak on His own initiative. Jesus said. Jesus made it clear that the Holy Spirit is His representative. He does not present His own ideas or speak on His initiativ

Everyone likes to take selfies, whether of themselves, with someone they know or even with a celebrity. That is great. However, there are other types of selfies, and these are what I like to call selfies of pride. To  name a few, there is self-gratification, self-justification, self-denial, self-security, self-absorbed, self-righteous, self- perseverance, self-exaltation. just to name a few. Not only do these types of selfies hinder our spiritual growth, it takes our focus off God and places dependency on self. Ironic, the only “good selfie” is self-control, and that only comes from depending on God.  The real question is, how does God see these? When we pray do we ask God to rid us of pride or do we pray selfishly? Even when we try to conceal pride we must remember God sees the pride of our heart. Pride is SIN and if not dealt with can lead to shame, strife, ruin, and other negative consequences. Our goal is to please God, to exalt him and magnify him, not ourselves. Here are

Can you imagine living in a world in which God is silent, and all the questions about life go unanswered? Why am I here? Do I have a purpose in life? God described himself as "merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness" In the New Testament, the culmination of God's revelation is his Son, Jesus. Many Christians today live a life like a roller coaster—up one minute, down the next. Instead of growing spiritually, we find ourselves at a stalemate, living a stagnated life. Until we realize this hope is through intimacy with Christ, we will continue to live a stagnated life. The true is the world is full of uncertainty, doubt, pain and sorrow. Some Christians believe that living the Christian life requires only attending church, reading the Bible, praying, and serving. While this is good, we must remember that we have the holy, sovereign God within us. The power we need to live the Christian life isn’t given from on high, but rather, from within you, as a result of Christ's indwelling presence. Our helper is the holy spirit, whom Jesus promised will always be with us. The Lord understands our human frailties and limited power and that we are unqualified to live the Christian life on our own. So, it is his goal to accomplish this through us, by the power of the holy spirit

John 15: 1-3 – “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the words that I have spoken to you.    Many people take verses about the fruitless branches being cut off and burned as indication that salvation might be lost. The misinterpretation of scriptures is that a person who was once in Christ may later cease to "abide in Christ" and become useless; that person is then severed and burned up. If the parable of the vine and the branches were the only chapter that addressed the subject of eternal security, we might have reason to be concerned that salvation could be lost. However, this is not the only chapter in Scripture that concerns security and confidence, nor is it the only verse in John that tackles these issues.  There are various passages in John that clearly guarantee the believer'
